Hello April! OK I know the saying April Showers but really?? The flowers will really be growing sooner than later. We are ready for April. It starts with our fun projects, this Monday. Thank you so much for your enthusiasm and jumping right in with our supplies. You will hear all about it. We ended March with our lesson on wind and how powerful it can be. Hopefully you will have heard about our friend Wolfy and our take on Three Little Pigs and the connection to our wind lesson. The children took part in building different houses and seeing which ones could withstand the Big Bad Wolf (aka a hairdryer made to look like a wolf) blowing it down. They had a blast. Here are our April Lessons: Life Cycles of different animals Animals hatching from eggs Concept of eggs Big/Small Colors Real/Pretend Egg Hunt Virtue of Cooperation Easter-The Story of Jesus Concept of Holy Week Plants - Growing, Seeds, Caring for, Parts of Concept of a Garden Introduce Ll,Mm,Nn,Oo and it's phonetic sound Color Blue/Yellow concept of making green Shapes Oval/Egg and Cross Earth - concept of our planet and Earth Day
Thank you for all you do for our class and once again thank you for the opportunity to spend my days with your kiddos!
One last topic is Easter. We are asking that each child bring in a dozen FILLED plastic eggs. We will have an egg hunt as a class and this will also count as our Easter celebration. I want to keep in mind that we are still in the Lenten Season so it will be done as a class. We are giving our Homeroom Moms a little break on this, as they do so much. Amanda and I will handle this one. We will have this on Wednesday 4/12, the last day before break.
Please Look for our important dates coming up in April.
HUGE SHOUT OUT to our Homeroom Moms!! We are so blessed to have Erin Lively and Colleen Fisher, as our Moms. They are amazing and always ready to plan any of our events.
