Happy EARTH DAY Everyone!! Yes, perhaps it is a tad nippy out there and the wind is also, well, a-whipping, but our skies are bright blue and the sun a golden hue of warmth. Hoping your morning is off to a good start so far. Here are your lessons/activities for the day:
First up for today:
In honor of Earth Day, let's undergo a Nature Activity/Lesson-- Please put together a Nature Appreciation Project-- 1. On a piece of construction or poster paper, write at the top: Earth Day. 2. Make a list of 4-5 things that you appreciate/like/love about our planet Earth. 3. You may want to draw a picture next to your answers...for example--
1. Animals...(draw your fav animal)
2. Plants (draw your fav flower)
3, the ocean/creeks/streams (a pic of a body of water)
4. the sunshine (pic of Mr. Golden Sun) Okay, Next up for today:
One additional idea: Bundle up, grab a grown-up and together take a stroll using your Senses to appreciate the Sights, Sounds and Smells and Touches off All things you can See, Hear, Smell and Touch (we'll leave out the taste)... to appreciate about God's Great Planet. Enjoy your Nature Appreciation Tour/Time together to Take in the Beauty of our Earth. (thank you so much, friends/families)
And Lastly for today:
Some Writing Practice: Please spend some time on this hand-writing assignment...Let's practice writing our First and Last Names. On a blank sheet of paper, on the front side please write your first name from top to bottom of the page....try to write your first name at least 8-10 times. Use upper and lower case letters. Now, on the back/reverse side...practice writing your last name--Mom or Dad may need to write this at the top, then kiddos, you take over and write your last name 8-10 times. You got this! Great work:) May I suggest using pencil or crayon please for this, thanks.
REMINDER: Pick up of your child's remaining items will be placed outside of our front entrance doors, along with a basket of 4 rain boots that were not labeled...Junior-Kinder Pick Up Time is Scheduled for Anytime between the hours of 1-4 pm. Thanks, everyone.
I hope and pray you're all keeping safe and healthy and well. Have a lovely Earth Day.
