What a super fine and fabulous first full week of school we shared in room 5 ! Our class (it's only been a week and a half) has adapted so quickly to the flow and routine of our school day, it is rather impressive ! What a superb group of guys and gals we have, lucky us in Pre-K-Plus!!
By now hopefully you have all seen the news segment featuring our Academy's participation in "Adopt a Classroom" Program. What an Excellent Experience for our students--both instilling the importance of Service and this week's actual interviewing and filming of our students as well! Didn't our group sound so wonderful singing "God Bless America?" A few of our students' interviews made it on t.v. too--Caroline and Dillon represented us so entirely well! We at Assumption are privileged to be part of this very special Service Project, thanks to our Principal, Mrs. Welsh's, Passion for encouraging us all to be "Givers" to those in great need. Please consider donating school supplies for our school-wide service project over the next few weeks! Your donations are Most Appreciated.
"All About Me" Poster Presentations have been going splendidly well! Our first "public speaking" assignment has been a huge success! Your children were So Excited and Proud to share with their classmates and teacher just what makes them so very special, unique and good! Way to Go boys and girls!!! These beautiful posters are on display for your viewing pleasure outside of our classroom--come on in and check them out!
We wish to extend a very warm and special welcome to Miss Grace Lekites who will be our Teacher Aide on Mondays and Fridays. Miss Grace comes to us from Maryland and is here studying for a Master's Degree in Counseling at Eastern University. So happy to have you with us Grace:)
