Hello, and welcome to Kindergarten, where magical things happen! My name is Suzanne LeGendre and I am ready for another fun and exciting year at Assumption Academy. Mrs. Norcini, our classroom aide, is all geared up and excited, too. I attended Penn State University, main campus, as a pre-vet major. But then I ran into advanced chemistry in my second year and found out that we didn't mix well at all! So I decided to concentrate on my other love and enrolled in the education program at West Chester University. I earned my degree in Early Childhood Education and have been privileged and lucky enough to spend my days with children ranging fron 6 weeks to 9 years old ever since. Each age is special in its own way, but there is truly magic in the Kindergarten year when 5 and 6 year olds grow and change so rapidly into amazing, independent individuals. I share a house with my sister and two nieces, 19 and 13. Gabby is a sophomore at Cabrini College and Isabella is in 7th grade at Upper Merion Middle School. There is lots of running around for soccer, basketball, and track at our house! I enjoy reading, swimming, growing and eating tomatoes, and walking with my dogs. Goose and Pidge (short for Pigeon) are great dane puppies with lots of energy, so we walk frequently! We've got Room 7 all set up and ready for the fun and magic to begin. There are great books to be read together, original stories waiting to be written, field trips to take, self-portraits and other masterpieces to paint, 100 plus days to count, experiments to conduct, and so much more! Even the classroom guinea pigs are back and can't wait to meet this year's Kindergartners. So here's to the beginning of another joyful, magical year in Assumption Academy's Kindergarten!
